Thanks Mike, it is a fine hat. It is the first of possibly two mabey three that I am considering selling to finance a new custom hat.

I've had many inquiries regarding this Cavanagh hat. Mostly about the price. My asking price is $110 which includes shipping, insurance, packaging, and delivery confirmation. Here in the USA only. International shipping of course would have to be determined.

Well, I thought for sure this hat would sell immediately. There have been lots of inquiries. Somebody tell me what the problem is??? Ok, I know it's probably the price? Everyone is looking for a sweet deal. I thought the price was reasonable. It is less expensive than a new modern hat. I was of the understanding that the vintage hats were of a superior quality. Anyway, I'll give it some more time. perhaps I'm just a bit impatient. I just can't see selling it for much less.

The size is 7 1/4, and I think it would withstand a bit of cautious stretching. The hat is in fine condition, ready to wear. I hate resort to ebay, but after a couple of weeks it may be my last resort. The worst that can happen is; it doesn't sell on ebay either.:eusa_doh:

Plenty of gentleman here would love the hat, I'm sure. You've overpriced it though. If it were a Borsalino, the price would be just. Take a look at ebay and see what Cavs are going for right now. I'd say cut your price in half and you'll sell it instantly.

If it were my size, I'd pay his price in a heartbeat.
I don't follow the 1/4 size hats on eBay, so I can't
say what it would bear.

I'd take a Cavanagh like that over a lot of the Borsalinos
I've seen.

This vintage Cavanagh is still available. It's a wide brim, skinny ribbon "Open Road", "Stratoliner" clone. The hat is in excellent condition inside and out. It will only be here a short time unless somebody grabs it. I'll have to try ebay.

Fine looking hat Razz, seems to me, we have all seen the prices on vintage hats escalating. I would not be very discouraged, there is bound to be someone looking for a hat just like this one. It may take putting it on ebay to fetch the price you are asking and as with any auction who knows. It may go for double what you are asking if there are multiple buyers that are determined to add a quality hat like yours to their collection. Seems that the 7 1/4 and up command higher prices. Good luck in your venture
