This is a hat in my collection that doesn't get enough head time. I wish it did, because I really like it, but I need to thin the herd. It was formerly a vintage silverbelly Beaver Brand Open Road style that I had re-blocked and renovated all the way through by Mike Miller of Northwest Hats. He did an amazing job. The original hat crown was blocked low and the brim was wide at the time. Since I had preferred 30's style hats, I wanted to re-block it with a fuller crown and narrower brim. Mike delivered.
The felt is dress weight, so it keeps a crease and dents easy with steam. The crown was re-blocked to approx. 5 3/8" OC and the brim is 2 3/8" wide, raw edge. He added a really nice 1 1/2" blue-grey ribbon, new sweatband, and liner. I am asking my total cost in to the hat. Hope it fits you!
