Mitchell, I have a NOS BLACK Oakbrook civil A2, LOVE THIS STYLE! I'm making this kind of 50s to 60s civil A2 myself.

I really dig Sears and Wards these days, light weight and easy wear, yet classic. Just got a NOS D pocket Oakbrook, the newer model, not the horsehide patch D pocket. Missng the zip out fur collar but the red quilted lining is stunning.

That Hercules is one of my favs as well. I sold a steer hide one,

and re-bought what I think is a cowhide one with a more beige liner.
A bit boxy, but a great design IMHO.

Those square pockets are just so cool in their own odd, quad way

The Brown Steerhide is a variation on the Square Pockets with the traditional Half Belt.

The Black Horsehide is a Favorite. I've got a Brown and Black Steer in that style. There are nice and simple 50s Jackets.

I like your Hercules half-belt with the adjuster straps. I had a Sportclad version of the same design, but it had elastic instead of the straps- sold it!
I'm not a fan of the elasticated sides.
