Almost bought it then.....but sounded like I would be a bit too bulky for it.
Wonderful looking jacket.

Yep, I inquired of the seller and the waist above the knit is 41 3/8". That's a 7" drop from the chest, athletic fit for sure.

From prior owners, I understand the jacket is in pristine condition. Has been worn for several hours....but normal wear only.

The jacket was also owned by Saucerfiend at the VLJ prior to his selling it to Hobbstc...who sold it to the current owner. (Saucerfiend is also a member of this forum. I believe he posted a thread on this jacket here when he got it about a year ago.)
Though the chest measurements look right for a size 44, from what I've heard from Saucerfiend and Hobbstc it sounds like the fit is a "wartime 44" , a bit tight in the arm holes.
I asked John about the jacket..he noted it fit him well..but I think John doesn't mind a snug fit across the shoulders.
