I love it, Ivan!

If you decide on parting with it, I’d really be interested, depending on measurements. No rush, though. I´d be just as pleased if you’d hold onto it yourself.

It's a size Large so definitely a size too large for me. I don't hate that but I'm not yet sure if I love it and for that, I'm going to have to give it a try which right now isn't yet possible due to summer. I'll definitely let you know.

I do believe it definitely would fit you, though. . .

Take your time! Maybe a re-start to your love for leather jackets.

Vanson do make some beautiful jackets! They really do need fix their car crash of a website, hide some of their ugly designs, and stop putting hideous branding on the outside of some jackets. Still, I want a Vanson for myself!

I've come full circle on this.

I've come to like their quite basic website; I essentially see it as business-to-business focused, with the savings accordingly passed down.

As for the jackets with branding (not something I generally like), not all of them have it but those that do are very motorsports focused, so it is a bit like a Nike logo on football kit and I've come to appreciate it in that context. (I say this as someone whose ideal cricket/football/etc kit is its midcentury versions without any of that, but within the current market if you're producing such kit you need to brand it.)

Quick review & pics of my new Vanson...

Bought this one on a whim; It was in Europe & cheap and even though I swore off Cafe racers, I thought I'd give it a try and resell it.

I actually forgot all about it and picking up the package from the post office had me confused as I didn't know what the heck was inside that was so heavy.

Just taking the jacket out of the box reminded me how freaking awesome Vanson is. I've said it before and I'm saying it again, these jackets are equipment. Honestly, I don't really care much about any of this stuff anymore but looking at this cafe racer from, well, different, non-fan perspective, made me feel good about the way I was impressed by it.

In short, this is a damn fine jacket.

Anyway, some pics & I would appreciate if someone could tell me what model exactly this is?

That is very nice! ...but I'm confused by the snap on the elbow? Is there a hidden pocket?

I don't hate wearing branded clothes long its by a maker that I love and I'd proudly wear anything Vanson but I would've loved the jacket even more if it was logo free but yeah, I won't complain. It's subtle, at least.

I think it's simply decorative. It is a snap but it's not like you can connect it to anything.

Does the AR3 with the armour removed fit the same as the AZ2? (Would it look 'deflated')?

I give Vanson branding a pass, too. The shoulder ovals come straight out of their track suits and on to their sport rider jackets, that's not an issue for me. I really like the black on black ovals on this one!
The V on the snaps, that distinctive shape was used on their earlier branding and it goes back to the 70's. You can see it as a leather on leather patch on thebMike Hailwood jackets. It's a fun nod to the past.

Holy cow, that's as good as it gets. Great example of why Vanson is revered. Fit?

It's okay, it fits me. You know Vanson; Some of the best fitting jackets out there - Unless you are an employee, posing as a model for their website, that is.

Large...What leather is that ?

I thought it's just Comp. Weight but you're the third person to ask about it and rightfully so because it doesn't look like Comp. so I'll ask now. :)
