I know this may not exactly be TFL friendly, but maybe someone's interested in my ancient, beaten up Vanson sports racing jacket. Resembles a Cobra, but it's not perforated. Really old racing model, one of their early ones. Fantastic looking leather, though not that it matters on this type of jacket, I suppose. But it's really just so nice looking. Brass Talon hardware all around - nice to see a large Talon zipper for a change.
Please note that the jacket's been resized from 46 to what I believe is approx. 42/44. Vanson's done a great job, but... It's only fair I point this out, as it's a pretty major thing to be done to a jacket. It's still tagged 46, BTW. I've lost even more weight since so it's really too roomy for me. Great in sleeve length and shoulders, though, and just perfect on a bike. I've also had an ugly patch removed from the right sleeve, so some sad looking stitch marks are left (see photos below), but you can cover it with a patch of your own.
But all in all, there's nothing really wrong with the jacket! Great, heavyweight Vanson, top looking leather, no rips, tears or holes (other than what I've mentioned). All zippers work perfectly. Plenty of wear left in it (it's Vanson, after all). It's old, it's been through hell and back but leather is as good as it gets; buttery soft, pliable, just healthy. No rot, smell or dryness anywhere at all... I still grab it from time to time when I'm going for a ride, just so I don't have to worry about scraping my fancy fancy jackets.
Asking 60 quids + shipping. Not really interested in making any money off it, just need to cover the shipping for another jacket. Any questions at all, drop me a PM. Would consider fun trades so if you've got some old jacket you'd like to trade for this one, let me know.
