Yeah, I posted pics of that one last year sometime. I want it!! Looks like the same as the Commando jacket.
Too bad it’s buried on that HD site. I don’t think many people know it exists. And those that do, I can’t imagine ever parting with it. Meaning it never comes up used or on sale. If it did it, would be mine in a heartbeat.

I like the new Vanson website. Does seem a bit "slow" to load tho'! May just be the Western Australia broadband of course.

I got a Comet and a Sturgis last December , love them both !

Here are pics of the Commando. From what Vanson told me, the Cycle Champ would be the same or similar leather. Of course, you can order it in whatever leather you want.

Yup another Vanson that nails it. It just makes me want that HD Cycle even more. I guess I’m saving up!

If you do get the Cycle Champ definitely let me know your thoughts. That is one on my future purchase list.

Could be my list as well. Didn't know about Oxford! I always like the Enfield but the collar was kinda meh. Oxford makes everything right.
As for the Boston, I've had their earlier Police jacket, traditionally styled NYPD patrolsman leather jacket and it was seriously among the best jackets I had. It was a tad too large so I sold it. I wish I hadn't though... But it prioritized Boston on my list ever since. It'd probably be next jacket, right after Chopper. But in comp. weight if possible.

Force also seems like a must have. Just tons of great features.

And it's good to see Maverick is officially back!

Same thought here. The Oxford caught my eye too. I had an Enfield, nice enough but yes, the collar didn't excite me too much. This one is much nicer. Haven't looked through everything, but I remember getting emails from Vanson with scanned copies of their catalog showing many more models we didn't see on their old website. Good to see those on their site now. The Mohawk looks like a good 4-pocket CR with riding features. Go Vanson!!!

That Competition Weight Black Mercury jacket, with single piece back panel, for $539 is a steal for a USA made jacket! Well worth a look. Anyone have one?

I used to have the older version without the collar and with the handwarmer pockets that looked like inverted d pockets. Heck, now that I think about it was a different jacket, much more cafe. That said, usual Vanson goodness.

Yeah man, this Commando has been seriously tempting me for some time now. Even tried one on at a store in NYC last Fall, sadly not my size. Thanks for sharing yours. I like this lining the best. Won't mind some fit pics whenever you can :)

Out riding and in my Vanson Hardcore Highwayman. I am magnificently bad at fit picks so never post them. I say this without bad intention, but I make @ton312 look like the Picasso of selfies.

Had my wife take this, while she laughed at me the entire time. I cut the photo shoot short.

My dialed in sleeves are 25.5 and these are about 26.5, but they work well on my 17” apes. I would bet it is probably my longest riding jacket. My highwayman, Hardcore, Chopper jackets are about an inch shorter. What else, what else. oh yeah, my wife is still chuckling, saying “you and your weird jacket friends”.

Always loved that one. The Navajo blanket lining is choice and the two way zip is perfect for the length. Man you've got some seriously nice Vansons. I had a Derby jacket and I think they were cut about the same. Longer body and super long sleeves.

Tks. To be honest, while this feels good on, I prefer the overall fit of the other jackets I mentioned. Especially on the bike. Oddly, this is my favorite, top 2, jacket.

I get it. Always felt my model E was the best fall/spring riding jacket. Derby was way too tight.

Thanks for sharing photo. Looks awesome! And I hear ya about wife comments. My wife rolls her eyes whenever she sees me on this forum, although she liked an Aero jacket well enough that she follows Thurston Bros on her Instagram and every once in a while comments on a "nice jacket" she sees. When I first got started down this rabbit hole some years ago and bought the Rin Tanaka book she absolutely couldn't comprehend it - there's a hardcover book on old motorcycle leather jackets??? And you pore over every page??? Had to point out her coffee table books on fashion stuff - Chanel, etc.

I just ordered one of Tanaka’s books. Can’t wait to see her response. One day she will understand. Maybe.

I know Rin Tanaka gets a lot of hate here for blowing up the jacket market haha. Since he’s become relevant with collectors denim and leather prices have gone insane. But I own 6 of his books and have a 7th on the way. They are amazing coffee table type books. I still love them. Also @JMax i emailed Vanson about that HD Cycle Champ jacket....it is the XL aka x150 leather they use. I’m more of a Triumph fan and not so much an HD fan so having their HD logo on it isn’t so important to me. They said they would have no problem making that exact jacket without the logo. I’m sure having the HD affiliation raises the cost so it’s possible it would cost less direct from Vanson.
