Vanek Leather Clothing

I thought that it's time for a thread about Vanek, an Austrian maker of leather goods, especially jackets and pants. The idea is to collect knowledge, pictures and everything related to the brand. I will start off with a short history and then post pictures of my own jackets.
I know that there are some Vanek jackets around here, so please share what you've got or what you think!

Vanek leather tailoring was founded 1912 by Karl Vanek in Euratsfeld, Lower Aust8ria.
He ran the business until he was drafted in 1943, he died 1945 in France.
His widow Maria carried on until Anton Vanek took over in 1953.
In the following years the business started to grow and they specialized in leather clothing. 1972 they got a contract for making the leather clothing for the Austrian police, especially the motorcycle police and produced their jackets and pants from 1974 on.
In the following years they had up to 12 employees.
January 1988 Engelbert Vanek took over and he is running the business with his wife in the 3.generation now.

First the oldest jacket

I got this jacket very cheap and didn't know who made it. The leather is really special. I washed it and put some conditioner on and it didn'n feel like cowhide.
@Robbie79 showed his jacket today and now I know it's a vanek, and I guess in horsehide. I don't know it's age, but it's old! Main zipp has been replaced and maybe the liner too.

Next one I also got very cheap about 20 years ago, complete with the pants but they got lost somehow over the years.

@JMax : I also mostly find smaller sizes. The most jackets were made to measure, maybe something will show up, I will keep you in mind while searching! I think they still make bespoke jackets, so maybe ask them directly. I'm planing to visit them in the future, see what leather they offer and maybe have a jacket made for me.

There is one like this in Austrian classifieds right now! Looks like in good condition with zip out liner. Not cheap but beautiful:

Yesss! That's the one. The story is that when he attended the funeral of a former Austrian President, he saw the jackets of the policemen on their motorcycles and he wanted to have one. So he got one custom made. Great pictures!
