Hi,

Does anyone know of an army surplus retailer that might have any government issue USN CPO shirts in stock? (Medium / 40 chest) – or indeed has one to sell!.

I suppose an old one would be nice, but it's not imperative. I guess this is a long shot as there's been quite a lot of interest recently in vintage naval militaria, and they seem to command quite high prices on the bay these days, and furthermore seem quite few and far between.

Other options I've been considering are the Buzz Rickson repro, which looks pretty great but has a pretty eye-watering price tag too.

Or the Fidelity repro looks very good value for money (though I wish the pockets were more 'scalloped' in shape... Can anyone comment of their quality and fit?
I hear that (for once in milsurp) they actually size up quite small so it's an idea to size up. Anyone have any experience of this? I think I read good things about their peacoats on here.

Thanks!

And usually you can tell buy the tags. The above example is from 1974. Older examples don't have a white DSA tag and either have a private contract maker tag or "Naval Clothing Factory."

Expect the 40's and 50's examples to be around $50-$100 depending on size of course. I remember when you couldn't GIVE the Navy stuff away...
