UPS Worldwide Saver Warp Speed!

Guys, this is the second time that I got a package from Europe (one from UK and one from Spain) to the US in LESS THAN 24 HOURS via UPS Worldwide Saver.

So it is two for two, worth a heads up to this community imo. Give it a shot if you have a choice of shipper from Europe. This time it was a pair of pants for 25 euro shipping cost, before it was a jacket, also for 25 euro. At EUR at 1.15 USD that is a good deal.

I always wonder why we (Europeans) can ship a jacket to the States for €29 (if under 2kg) or €46 (2-5kg) or the example above €25, yet the other way around it's $80 for a flat rate box.

Same holds for shipping times.

and I really wonder why it took 6 days for DHL shipping from Scotland to the Netherlands (440km as the crow flies) after paying 20 pounds for shipping and 17 euros for "handling" costs

Correction - this is UPS Express Saver, not Worldwide Saver. Anyway, under 24 hours from EU to US, including an exception for a delayed flight. Crazy good deal.

A big part of this is the fact that you’re in Secaucus, so things get to you right after they’re sorted in New York, without a trip across the country in between.

Yeah I just used New York as a general term because everyone does processing in the area but in different locations. I think USPS international processing is in Jamaica (Queens), for instance. I forget where FedEx does it.

I think that after 10 days, my jacket finally left USA. Let's see how many years it will take it from there. That's an 80 bucks service, by the way.

I had better luck with UPS, although all carriers' performance has declined.
