While I am sure quite a few folks like the lighter weight buckles on Aero motorcycle jackets specifically their Indian, I did not like the heft of the Nickel coated brass buckle.
After wearing the jacket a few times I decided to do a quest for a vintage styled heavier Nickel coated brass buckle finding one in Japan. It arrived yesterday and was attached this afternoon by my wife. It seems to have a better symetry to me plus it is literally twice as thick as the one the jacket came with. I have attached Aero's Vintage Indian photo along with a couple of before and after shots.

I know this is probably a bit silly to some but I am glad I did it.

It's decent. I bought it on sale so that was a plus. It will make a nice summer weight jacket. If I were to order it direct I would go with tumbled black front quarter horse instead of vincenza. Also I know I am committing heresy but I would have a pocket bag sewn in that zipper in the back next to the kidney. Aero intentionally does not put pocket bags in those pockets as the originals did not have them but for me that one pocket (The Ranger only has 1) could be handy for some small items but with out the pocket bag it is pretty much useless. Again that's just me. The pockets on the front are very easy in terms of hand placement and the slanted top pocket is excellent because it is deep enough for a larger I Phone. Overall it's pretty cool.

Thanks for your opinions on the jacket. I know you have a few Lost World's. I also know you do quite a bit of serious riding. I always like to hear how a motorcycle jacket preforms in the real world. Your Ranger checks the box next to "cool factor." I wish Aero would at least offer an upgrade for their main zipper on m/c jackets.
