Hey all,

I bought this A2 style leather jacket today. It has a triple marked crown zipper, green lining, side handwarmers and no labels. The leather is nicely patina'd and the pockets will need to be fixed. Overall its an nice jacket. Anyone have any idea about which decade this might be from? I think crown stopped making zippers in the 1950s, but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

This is a pretty standard civilian bomber jacket design- it's difficult to know a maker as there were so many companies making them at that time, and they made them under a variety of house labels. It wouldn't be accurate to say that it's an A-2 reproduction- similar, but a different style. The 1950s dating is correct. Crown continued making zippers after that point, but that one is from that period.
