U.S. Enlisted uniform regs

I've got a copy of The Officer's Guide thanks to a friend, so I've no trouble putting together just about any WWII U.S. Army officer's uniform...what I don't have are regulations for enlisted, specifically Air Corps Class A. I'm putting together an enlisted uniform as a sort of 'parallel universe' representation of my USAF uniform. So far I've got the collar brass, an Ike jacket, Hap Arnold patch, mechanic's qualification patch / badge, , expert marksman badge and *one* measly ribbon to parallel the 5 my modern uniform is sporting, since there's not much translation between most of them.

Does anyone have a link to a site which lays out the enlisted regulations of the time or a book which catalogs them similar to The Officer's Guide?

I don't know how much detail you want to get into, but my first thought would be the Soldier's Handbook, FM 21-100. It describes placement of the various insignia as well as the care and wearing of the uniform. It also has instructions on how to assemble web gear, manual of arms, and all the other things a new soldier needs to know.

Cheers!

I would say to look at USGI WW2 reenactment units, since they will know what sort of things the Army enlisted man would have had. There will be a few differences with AAC vs. infantry, but at least you will get a general idea.

To be more specific, I'm looking for the exact placement of cloth qualification badges on the sleeve - I need to know where exactly to sew on mechanic's badge, and if that's worn in conjunction with or exclusively from the metal badge on the left pocket flap(dress only, I assume).

I'm contemplating wearing this from now on instead of all the officer's gear I've got, unless I specifically need a pilot impression for filming or an event. Better to wear something that nobody can say I didn't earn.

...and no, I'm not selling the other stuff!

Found the regulation in an unexpected place. At one of my jobs(I've got three) we have a number of modern books that list all the current awards and decorations for all branches of service. I cracked open the Air Force one on a whim yesterday and found it.

Technical specialty badges, 1942 - July 1945: An equlateral triangle of ultramarine blue with a graphic representation of the specialty in gold, centered on the right sleeve four inches above the edge of the cuff.

Specialty badges as of July '45 became an actual badge, pinned on much like the marksmanship badge on the left pocket flap, with small placards suspended below for each specialty. Evidently these badges are quite rare.

...right under my nose the whole time. I should get a copy of the above mentioned booklet, however.
