Typewriter Paper

Does anyone know what kind of paper was commonly used for typewriters. I always see golden era pictures (even more modern ones) of writers writing long hand or with a typewriter, using blank loose leaf paper. Any idea what kind(s)? Someone once suggested that Big Chief pads were popular for school children, but what loose leaf brand of paper was common for long hand writing and typing?

Thanks!
