I just can't watch TV anymore, apart from TCM and Robot Chicken.

This stuff used to make me lose it....

I still don't have my digital converter box. There's just nothing I want to watch that badly.
I know what you mean. Comcast is forcing everyone in my area to go to a more expensive digital service. I'm thinking about dumping broadcast TV all together and just watching DVDs when I get the urge. I just don't want to spend $80.00+ bucks a month to watch commercial TV. TCM or no TCM.

The television program indelibly in my childhood memory was on Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM, "Meet Mr. Wizzard." It's opening was classic to the same extent as "Have Gun Will Travel's" and "Gunsmoke's" gunfight. The teenager would enter Mr. Wizzard's (Don Herbert) workshop, see something on the work table, and say: Gosh, Mr. Wizzard. What's that?

And we were into the world of chemistry or physics for 30 minutes.

And while I'm at it. Baseball with two or three cameras max. Now they have lenses so powerful you can see the stitching on the uni's. They don't show the game any more all they show are players. Pitcher, batter, catcher and umpire. You are never given a lingering shot of the ever changing positioning on the fielders. Ok, I'm alright now.....thanks for the vent.

Some were not that good, but many were highly entertaining...

As a boy, I loved watching Time Tunnel, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Lost In Space, My Favorite Martian, Mr. Wishbone, Hollywood Palace, The Ed Sullivan Show, Bewitched, It's About Time, Mr. Ed. My Favorite Doll, The Addams Family, The Munsters, re-runs of Highway Patrol and The Lone Ranger, The Bugs Bunny Show, Diver Dan, and Sherrif John. Too many to fully list.
