I have two suits, both quite large. One is a two-button, a style that I'm not overly fond of. I'm curios if said jacket can be converted into a 3-button.
The other jacket is a 3-button, but it is a bit too long. The gorge is a bit too low, it almost looks like a 2-button. I'd like to do something with that as well, as it is a nice lightweight wool suit - very comfy in the hot weather.
To turn a 2 button into a 3, all you need to do is have an extra button hole/button put in and then the lapels have to be pressed to take into account the higher stance of the buttons.
Make sure the tailor gets it right on the button hole alignment/spacing because there's no going back once it's done.
