wow that was quick thanks .do we know who made the original ??

California Sportswear

Pretty much every maker today makes a version of this classic jacket. The one for this movie was made by Tony Nowak (RIP)

Its a pretty famous jacket around these parts.....also called a surrogates jacket on the web as it was used by Willis in the movie Surrogates.

Yep, A Californian half-belt. Bill Keslo got an original and copied it for their repro. Johnson Leathers also made a copy for me and another guy. I sold mine on as I changed my mind about the look and it was too heavy. Logan's Closet make a copy through Vanson but I have read that the time to make and delivery on these is very unreliable.

It is similar too to a range of Aero's and other makers but not identical. The key difference this Californian features, compared to many other half-belts is the pleats which start from the yolk and go down to the belt.

Bruce could have got one with the correct length sleeves, after all he is a film star.
Personally I'm not keen on the sloppy look. It may be a cool looking jacket but not worn like that.

Agreed. Never understood that one myself

That's how it is in the movie and that's costume departments call I guess. I think! I haven't seen the movie, tho.

Totally understand that. Just find it funny that people look for that "look", but it's dumpy lol

I have to admit I like it, myself... Fitted jackets can easily give you that "I'm trying so hard" look and these sloppy jackets, if done right, give off I don't care vibe which can be cool. It rarely ever works, though and most of the time it looks like you just don't know how to shop for clothes.

Apparently the hero jacket was an original and Tony made all the other ones.

I sold my TN one because it was too short for my taste.

Now I own a Bill Kelso version and I love this one a lot.

Not only is the jacket not zipped up, but his shirt is unbuttoned and is below the hem of his jacket. Perhaps there is just too much military still in me to understand that style of dress.
