Trying to identify some "insignia"

My father in-law is a full fledged flea market/yard sale/thrift store addict. A recent find of his was this:

It's three "buttons" like would fit into the button holes on a tuxedo or something and then two cuff links. Was this for one of the really fancy dress uniforms for the Army? Like the tuxedo type ones for state functions?

Might be shirt studs and cufflinks for military use, yes. Are they marked on the reverse sides?

Weird. From the copyright and registered marks I assume they're from the 50's or later?

It looks like some of the cuff links and such for an Air Force mess dress. Some were plain and some had the AF seal.

When I was in Civil Air Patrol, I had a set just like this for my Mess Dress uniform. Studs and Cuflinks. Never wore the cuflinks because I had some that actually had the CAP logo on them.

Thanks everybody. I admit I didn't look at the back so I'm not sure how they are marked. Since CAF and AF use the same uniform then I'll go with your all correct. I'll pass along the information to my in-laws. Thanks
