Trade: Akubra Gymkhana, size 59

Hello fellow loungers. Earlier this year I received my first Akubra hat as a gift from a friend who no longer wears hats. I am this hat's second owner. My friend bought this hat in the mid-1980's for $130 Canadian Dollars in a hat shop in Quebec City which has since closed (price written on the back of size tag, see pictures). It's an Akubra "Gymkhana" in Regency Fawn colour, size 59. It's in great condition. The felt is really soft and the age took care of that new Akubra "cardboard stiffness" and it now has more of a stiff fedora feel than a hard cowboy hat feel to it, and it still holds its shape well. If you bend the brim down, it nicely snaps in and out of place. The brim is 3 inches wide all around. The crown is 4 inches tall.

I would really love to keep and wear this hat, but the problem is that I'm a size 57 in Akubra hats and my wife is a 56. So it's way too big and it's just sitting in the collection, not getting the love it deserves. I'm hoping to trade this hat for another Akubra, sized 56 or 57. I'm open to any Akubra model, so make your offer and please include pictures!

I took as many pictures as possible but if anyone wants more images, just let me know. I'll be happy to upload some more. The real life colour of the hat is pretty spot on with the first picture. There are no stains or dirt on the hat, any darkness you see is made by shadows.

If your open to selling as opposed to only a trade, it might help if you included a price with shipping.

I have a Falcon Park custom fedora in a light Sand colour. I am a 59 and it is too small for me. I think it is a 58 or a fat 57 so it may fit you with a shim or two. Hat is in great condition. No stains, blemishes or mothing. Nice soft hand. It came without a liner but I have put in a new silk one and it has a brand new ribbon treatment. PM me with your email and I will send pics. I am in Vancouver BC so we don't have to cross border mail.
