Toys Mccoy Shinki HH compared to Freewheelers and Rainbow Country

Dear TFL-members,
Does anyone know if Toys Mccoy use the same Shinki HH as Freewheelers? I've also heard that Rainbow Country more or less use the same Shinki HH as Freewheelers but I'm not sure regarding Toys Mccoy. For instance, a very light weight Shinki HH is used for Joe Mccoy's black Dead Wood jacket - the Shinki is much lighter as the one used for Freehweelers Caboose jacket. The Shinki used for my dark seal RMC A-1 is also quite different (weight between Freewheelers and Joe Mccoy jacket and surface finish is also more matte). My favorite Shinki is definitely the one used for Freewheelers - that's why I'm searching for makers using the same Shinki.
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Robbie

I have four Shinki made jackets, by a few different makers:

DD J-100:

All four leathers are completely different. They have literally nothing in common, and if i didn't know they cam from the same tannery i would have no way of recognizing they did.
I have also been inside RMC London (who uses shinki exclusively) a few times, and everytime i went in, i noticed the same thing, no two jackets were alike or had similar looking leather.
IMO shinki offers a wide variety of leather to a variety of people, and there is even a wide variation within that variety.
All that to say, i don't think it is as simple as looking for the "same Shinki", i'm not even sure the "same Shinki" exists on anything more than a few jackets at a time.
I think this is a situation where you have to take it jacket by jacket and look for one with a leather you like.

If you want to see more pictures the individual reviews can be found there:

Looking at your experiences Carlos... to my eyes just from your picture... DD have best versions on both of your jackets there.. the mid brown one looks hefty and thick enough to leave empty arm shape imprint on the sleeve and your cafe has tons of characters from the start.

The Shinki DD used is noticeably lighter a softer than the one used on the RMC and FW.
I would say the thickest one is the FW, it is very close to CXL.
The RMC is a little lighter, closer to Vicenza.

My favourite on to look at is the J-100, it looks just like a 50 years old jacket, my favourite one to wear is the FW, the leather has a much nicer hand to it.

Yes, I also prefer the nice hand and heaviness of the FW. I'm not a big fan of Vicenza altough I own one (will be the last one). I think I have to stay with FW even if they are so expensive....I hope I'll find a used one which fits me (size 38-40).
