Each Dawn I Die, WB, 1939. ...Cagney, Raft...et al. Saw on TV years ago

G-Men, WB, 1935....Cagney ( a favorite of mine, I have it on VHS)

Bullets or Ballots, WB, 1936. Bogart and E.G. Robinson. ( my VHS, It is a super film)

San Quentin, WB, 1937, Bogart, Pat O'Brien, Barton MacLane, Anne Sheridan...( Great movie, saw it on TV I think over 30 years ago...not since)

A Slight Case of Murder, WB, 1938, Eddie Robinson, this includes all the regular character actors..this is a comedy...spoof of many of Robinson's roles.
I am watching this one first. It is hilarious, and the restored version, and costumes, hats suits...GO BUY IT!

James Cagney, Edward G. Robinson, Humphrey Bogart "unpretty but charismatic guys with lived-in faces..."

The films in this set were produced half a decade and more after Little Caesar and The Public Enemy made stars of Robinson and Cagney, respectively, and after repeal had begun to lend Prohibition the patina of nostalgia. The studio's gangster franchise was evolving, and so were the careers of its top stars. When it came to toughness, the boys could still dish it out, and take it, too. But increasingly they were doing it on the other side of the law-and-order divide.

I remember watching these on the late night shows, don't make films like these any more, a must for my collection, just thought I'd share "You dirty rats!"lol
