Does anyone here use the tiny little curling iron at all? I was thinking of getting one for smaller waves. The 1/2". How does it do? Is it nice brushed out or frizzy? I have fine hair not prone to frizz. Thanks!

I use it for quick touch ups... but most of the time when you brush out the curl, you do just that, brush out the curl. For me, it almost straightens it. :( I rarely use it, but when I do have to use a curling iron, the 1/2 in is my choice.

I love my 1/2" iron. I can only use it for touch ups, like Lolita, or when I do my bangs. And by bangs, I mean not longer than 5 inches. It gives a good solid brushed out curl, great for fluffy bangs, and I think you could get a nice wave out of it.

Hmm - I may have to dig mine out! I just got my hair cut and the things I did with my 1" curling iron aren't working quite as well now.

I don't brush out my curls. I use my fingers or a lift.
But it makes nice curls on my hair. Matter of fact if I work at it enough I cn get almost a Shirley Temple look with it.

Where's the best place to get one of these small curling irons? I don't think I have enough time to do online ordering. But I am getting my hair cut on Sat and I think it will be pretty short in the back. And the week after I have the Bonnie and Clyde festival so I need something to curl the short bits. I've already checked Ulta, Target and Wal-mart. Maybe Sally's?

Sally's sounds like a good bet. It would save you a trip if you called first, too; and if they don't have one, maybe they know who would.

If your curl is brushing out, you probably aren't letting it cool all the way before brushing it out. Be sure you're using some kind of setting lotion or heat spray. After sliding the iron out, use a pincurl clip to pin the curl up while it cools.
