One of the coolest is dark brown with the white hair. I've seen a black with dark brown hair that also looked very cool.

Griz is a final frontier jacket. From a bygone era. I've always wondered how these were received when you could buy one in a size from children's small to adult XXL from Sears and made by Laskin Lamb...for $5-$15.

Still early to have a firm idea, I know the options with LW but Himel hasn't answered my email yet. So waiting a bit for now.

Time to update this thread:

So for LW, the jacket uses cow hair, and the options are black or natural, as for the leather colours: black, russet, navy and green. Pretty straightforward

For Himel, there are more options, leather can be black, brown, white and potentially oxblood (which I take to be burgundy). He also uses cow hair panel and could potentially source different colour furs (hence the comment on options), but it is difficult and thus there is an up-charge.

With LW, I would probably go black or navy with the black panel.

With Himel, I am thinking of potentially using oxblood as a base colour for the leather, that could lead to something really interesting.

Still far from a decision, but we'll see where this goes.

Honestly the first time I saw a grizzly on here maybe 2 years ago I thought it looked absolutely ridiculous. I LOL’d. Now I find myself thinking it’s one of the coolest jackets out there. Everyone I’ve asked about irl discourages me to get one. I still have a crazy urge for one. What have this place done to me?!

You're not alone there! I was the same about a lot of stuff (including Irvins, of all things). I'm even considering a bowler hat now (though strictly a brown one. The black have..... unfortunate connotations where I'm from).

It's just a matter of finding the right grizzly
Combining it with an evolution on your taste, I would guess that you would still not like today some of the models you found ridiculous?
