I'm told he's wearing mostly suits for his tour. A look he tried to establish w/ his "Im Bringing Sexy BAck" video.

Whats w/ his pants?

It's the fashion of the moment. Ten years ago, Beck was wearing thrift store versions of this all over Silverlake; now, Ralph Lauren has the same pants on its suits.

It's ugliness for the sake of ugliness ... an "I don't care what it looks like" attitude. A sign of burnout at the end of an (a)pathetic decade.

Yeah, he wears that suit pretty badly, or rather it wears him badly.

At least we should give him credit for wearing a suit though. While doing cardio at the gym recently I had no choice but to watch his most recent music video. I didn't catch the name of the song, but the vulgar swine was wearing a vested suit and fedora if I remember correctly, which I thought refreshing...if ill advised.

We need a woman's take on the issue. Where are the ladies??

I don't think JT is sexy, and laughed when I heard he was bringing it "back". Neither do I think his singing is sexy, nor the way his suit in that picture hangs on him. I have noticed that as I age, so do my heartthrobs. :)

I wonder though, if one reason his suits are like they are is that he dances around a lot and needs the 'room". I realize Elvis and Jerry Lee moved a lot too, but not, I think, to the extent these "youngsters" flail about the stage nowadays...

I'm noticing more young men wearing hats & ties.
Not a tidal wave but some.
Probably due to Timberlake

But soemone get this kid some better pants. I noticed an awards show performance & he has trouble sporting his ensemble

I dont think I've ever seen a pic of a young elvis looking dishevelled.

I do not totally dislike his look. Yes, the pants are way too long. Considering what passes for acceptable nowadays, I'd say someone is making interesting fashion choices for Justin.

You know what? I like his look. The only thing that bothers me, and whats most apparent, is that his pants are too low. If he hitched them up a bit, it'd be fine. I don't mind the best showing when someone has a vest on so much as I dislike that gap you see on him.

Good points.
I'd been wondering if a generation of kids who wore low slung baggy pants were uncomfortable growing up & relearning how to really wear trousers. From other pix I've seen, apparently Timberlake jsut doesnt know how to hike up his pants & tighten that belt so they stay put.

On the flip side, I've seen guys who grew up wearing skin tight heavy metal jeans & their judgemnt is totally askew when choosing their size.

regardless, its much nicer to see his jkt & tie than this

Its obvious he's not wearing it the way it should be worn. However, I think the most important thing is being kind of passively mentioned -- he's actually wearing a suit!

Here's what I've observed, and its strictly my opinion: If you look, you're starting to see a backlash, although in the infantile stages, against the schlumpy slobish look. The fact that guys like Timberlake and others are 'dressing up' and at least not being deathly afraid of a tie is a good thing. Young men are wearing ties again. Young men are wearing jackets.

This is a generation that grew up in a time where dad never wore a suit or even a tie to work, and just like every other generation of kids, they don't want to dress like their parents. And the parents wear the oversized polo and ill-fitting khakis. Younger generations like not conforming to what the status quo is, and right now that is casual week and hawaiian shirt friday. How do 20-somethings reject that? By getting dressed up.

I guess it comes to, hey, it ain't perfect, but at least its a step in the right direction.

Good thoughts, CB.
