It's about a medium weight--that's light compared to heavy steer ! The suede would be so cool as a two-tone for the Type 3, Highwayman, Sheene, Wayfarer, Aeromarine...
I was thinking it would be cool to do a Bootlegger or j-106 in CXL with suede as the accent pieces. Like the d-pocket, shoulder gussets and sleeve gussets!

Every year we discover "new" tartans from Lochcarron through our customers' orders and through our own endless quests on the Lochcarron website. Most of these patterns aren't actually new, but were simply overlooked in previous searches! When you are ready to start your own tartan hunt, let us help--we have collected hundreds of photos of linings that show how the colors look in a jacket. Here are a few recent favorites that have come through--

Hi Carrie, what color does the midnight blue CXL fade into? Brown?

Each batch is a little different, but there's a slow turn-over in the batches and this will make it more predictable. The most recent batch is a deeper color, which looks to fade to a grey/blue/green. The previous batch was a little lighter and faded to more of a deep evergreen. Definitely not a brown undertone on this color!
