What a beautiful piece of leather. That is one great jacket. Looks warm too. Someone is going to be very happy with that one.

Germ,

This is a great jacket: classic and clean lines, great tartan--did you choose it yourself? I Dig your style. Hope it provides years of service.

Thanks so much for the complement. I did choose everything myself. Apparently I am in the minority but the Cafe racer style from Aero fits me better than their Board Racer model. I really liked the detailing from the Board Racer though (Zips on the out side of the sleeves, Slightly angled chest pockets, BR collar, etc). So obviously I got Carrie to do a Sonoma Cafe racer with that detailing and with a classic Cafe Racer back with kidney panel. I do ride so I got a wind flap and gusseted shoulders. This is my first Steer coat from them (I have Brown horse Sheene and a Battered Seal Shackleton) and I really like it. I requested a heavy weight hide and this definitely fits the bill. Can't wait to log some bike time with it...

Thats a nice collection.
What is that battered seal like? I have seen some pics and it looks pretty nice. How dark is it actually?

The Battered Seal hide that I received was a shade darker than my Brown Chromexcel FQHH. Of course it looks more worn out of the box. One other thing to note is the hide seemed "waxier" in a sense. It has been a great piece for me but it doesn't see the wear that my FQHH jacket does. My Sheene jacket is broken in and fitting like a glove now. :)

Fantastic jacket! Love everything about it - the leather, green tartan, and riding-specific details. I've been contemplating a four-pocket cafe racer too, even though I already have a bunch of CRs. When I do, I'll probably go with the board racer profile, but your other specifics are what I've been thinking about.
