I'd like to see you try in an XKE. Those were nutball small.

Have never waltzed in a XKE, only in a MGB & they are as you say... "nutball small "
but hey..I was young & :horn:

btw: During the 70s, I drove a VW "Rabbit " car from Texas to California .
The pedals were ok for daily driving.

But not for long distance driving. By the time I got to Phoenix,
I had to tape a piece of wood on the gas pedal to the floor board
to rest my foot as I pressed on the gas pedal to prevent further
cramping of my leg. (There was no cruise-controll).
I was switching using my left foot but...was very uncomfortable
& dangerous :eeek:......Helloooo :eusa_doh:

Say what you want....it did help avoid further cramping & I made
it all the way to Los Angeles with no further problems.

Ahhhhh ...youth....:D

Wow! You do like to live dangerously. :p

'57 Chevy....

I had a dream the other night about driving home a Chevy convertible that my mother gave me
because she couldn't drive it anymore...it felt so good driving it...then I woke up...:rage:

Sort of like my dream about finding an abandoned Duesenberg in the barn of an abandoned farm house. Filled it with gas and away I went. Man those things could move. :p

Can't help you with a Duesenberg. Would a 1937 barn find Bugatti be a second favourite?

The Duesenberg is rarer than rocking horse droppings, but then again, so are the big MG's, when MG had aspirations of taking on the likes of Bently, Jaguar et al. Yet a good friend of mine has one of these big MG's. (I hate him!)

And another reason to drive a stick . . .

This was in to-day’s issue of Coffee News:

Car with stick shift: If you are going to attempt to steal a vehi-
cle, it’s best that you know how to drive it. That is one reality some
thieves in Springfield, Massachusetts (US) didn’t think about when
they tried to steal a car, along with some food from a delivery driver.
After demanding the food and the keys, the three robbers got into the
vehicle, but ran into a problem, as not one of them knew how to
drive a car with a standard transmission. Realizing this, they jumped
out of the car and ran away with the food. The driver was not injured.
