Hello,

I’m a new Fedora Lounge member and I wanted to post a link to my current eBay listing for a beautiful shawl zip jacket in sz Medium. It’s no longer avail in this sz on Thurston Bros. I’ve worn the jacket once outside my house and not quite the fit my vertically challenged body was looking for. I have the leather tag that comes with it pictured. Take a look and I’m available to answer any questions. Please bid if interested. The price is much lower than the Thurston Bros site as I’m motivated to sell and get it to a nice home with someone that would enjoy it. It’s heavy and a thick hide. Starting bid $799 (versus $1300+ Thurston Bros has it for).

If the sleeves were not so long I’d be in
So apparently I’ve been told I measure the sleeves incorrectly. A user said I should measure from midpoint straight through the sleeve to the cuff- if any of that makes sense. So having said that, it’s more 24.5-25 in. I’m an avg build and it hits slightly past my wrist knuckle about an in if that helps. It’s really an amazing jacket and still has that nice leather smell. It’s pleasantly heavy and thick. I recently had a Belstaff jacket sleeve shortened at San Diego Leather (they do motorcycle jacket alterations) so sleeves can be shortened. Just sayin . Also the nice lady at Thurston says once the jacket breaks in to your body, the elbow, sleeves tend to shorten due to the inherent nature of the thick leather hide.

Thanks for the message regardless. I also have a quasi vintage Schott waxed cowhide jacket on eBay as well. Best-

You mentioned that you measure the sleeves at the halfway point from the shoulder straight down to cuff end. Does that mean you start the tape midway between the TOP of the shoulder to the ARMPIT? Typically I measure AT TOP of shoulder/sleeve seam straight down to cuff end. Can you confirm how you measured?
