I have to say the only suits I really liked are Connery's. Some of them look more 50s than 60s because of the traditional details such as the pleated high waisted trousers. I think some of Roger More's suits look particularly unpleasant, especially when they're worn with chunky tie knots.
It's a shame because some of the ties have nice patterns - vibrant but not novelty. They would be nice ties if they weren't so thick. The suits can also be nice when they're cut classically, but sadly this seems rarely to have been the case.
I think all Bond-actors have managed to look good in their own way, but I have been most impressed by Sean Connery's suits, so far. His style is definitely the most classic. Dr. No does not even look too obviously 1960s, as the lapel width isn't extremely narrow as in some of his later suits; his Dr. No suits could even pass for mid-1950s, maybe. As for Roger Moore, I think he looked good for the 1970s, despite some of the wild sartorial features of that decade. His 1980s suits looked good on him as well, but by this time he was clearly showing his age. Pierce Brosnan, the next major Bond actor, was also well-suited in my opinion, as is Daniel Craig. Currently, it seems that Craig's wardrobe is embracing some modern features over classic, such as a lower rise, and flat-front trousers (not that these aren't necessarily classic). Maybe I'll mention George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton, later.
I'm going to attempt to seriously watch every James Bond film, starting with Dr. No, and going on up until Casino Royale (I saw Quantum of Solace too recently to want to see it again). This'll probably take me a few months, as I'm not the only one queuing movies on Netflix...
