The snails pace of menswear changes.

One Too Many
Steady as she goes, Mr. Lightoller.

I am heartily glad men's fashions change so slowly. It allows us to wear vintage fashion without looking like we're on the way to a theatrical production. When I was a smaller lad (we are all just larger lads/kids are we not?), I imagined we would all be wearing silvered jumpsuits zooming about wearing rocket or jet packs on our backs in 2010. Didn't happen. OK by me. Can no longer afford the jet fuel now that the RECESSION has blossomed, anyway.

If you look like a clown wearing traditional dress, you at least have an excuse. If you try to "fuse tradition and modernity" and look like a clown, others may justifiably suspect that you are in fact a clown.

Bercow looks like a clown to me.

Other then his trousers looking perhaps a bit too long in that photo, I would say he looks fine. Not as interesting, but he looks perfectly respectable.
