My mother got married a couple weeks before her 19th birthday (my father was 27 at the time). They didn't have me until my mother was almost 31. So I had no timetable to follow. I spent my 20s assuming I'd want children someday, but someday hasn't really happened. There was only 1 time I decided I wanted a baby, but that desire passed. [huh]

If we're talking about just "casual dating" as opposed to marriage, I can see some advantages to "dating up" for a first time out, like having a "tutor" with some experience for one.
