Luke and I made a road trip to give the Major a little help and to see his new shop.
Let me tell you its gonna be nice!!!

I had a wondereful time seeing old friends Mike and Luke and meeting new ones Bill and Bob!

The shop is going to be great!
And Mike is getting ready to get to work on more hats.

One thing is .. if you visit with the Major , he will be sure to let you get the feel of what it takes to make a hat...

Now that's what I'm talking about, we need more threads like this one showing either hat makers like Mike and also hat shops like Bencraft...or Millers...etc...We need to document more of what's out there. He has photos to go up but dosnt have them all framed yet.

BUT he does plan a place for photos of when we come and visit the shop, or send a shot of a hat he has made you. That way when you are there you can look up and say' well there is ol so-and-so from the Lounge!'

I plan on painting a street view with old buildings from the 30's and 40's on the wall, so when you stand there you would be looking down the street on both sides. I would love to have any photos of anyone wearing a hat, I'll hang them around the whole shop, it would help if they were in a cheap frame when you send any.

I'll be glad when the place is all fixed up and everything in place, it's getting closer each day.

Was very happy Rusty, Luke and some others came and helped me, I was beat and there was no way I could have moved the sewing machines and the heavy wooden oak tables without them today.
