Being uncharacteristically honest: I’m a fan. We are all rational human beings who acknowledge that there is nothing wrong with being human. In fact, being a breathing person comes with (hopefully) much needed moments of validation, acceptance and belonging. Carry on, ladies. You are amazing! I respect you, gently admire you (very gently) and envy you. In the best possible sense. The added “vintage” touch is an absolute bonus. :)

Thank you!! I can't speak for any of the other ladies, but I'll be posting more on this thread for sure!

I wanted to share my Dorothy bounding I did last month! I opted to bound as the classic 1939 MGM version versus the book versions using only what I had already.

The only true vintage is my red shoes (which you have seen in earlier photos I posted on this thread.) More photos can be seen on my blog -- Vintage Starlet!

It's becoming quite a sad thing to me that the younger generations haven't heard of The Wizard of Oz or the '39 movie! I know as vintage and history lovers many of the who, what, where, when, and whys are rather obscure and many youths may not have heard or learned of them (yet), but not knowing about THIS movie??

Sorry that this thread has gone into dormancy. Was hoping that we were all adult enough to enjoy being who we are, without slipping into judgement or creepiness. Oh, well.

There's a pin-up and photographic studio in the UK called The Dollhouse. They turn housewives into silver screen stars. It's all smoke and mirrors of course. Careful make up, stylish hair, airbrushed age wrinkles, but even so, the results are amazing.

There's no nudity if you click on the link, but it does show the ladies in sexy underwear.

Those “before and after” photos are remarkable. As I’ve heard several of our middle-aged friends say: “I just want to feel sexy.” And why not? If you feel good about yourself, the world is a happier place.

Not flappers but early loves of mine. The single: SILVER THREADS AND GOLDEN NEEDLES.... The '70s were good, bad, "not your father's" fashion trends.
