The next Paul Newman?

I just finished watching the DVD "Sweet Home Alabama." The male lead, Josh Lucas, delivered a terrific performance. His mannerisms, his persona in the film reminded me strongly of Paul Newman's portrayals in "Hud" and "Cool Hand Luke." I've neither seen this actor before nor heard of anything else he's done. Is he as competent as I think he is? In what other motion pictures has he been featured?

I can see Brad Pitt obviously copy Robert Redford's facial expressions and mannerisms. I can't say that I've seen another Paul Newman, though.
Paul was great and one of a kind I think.
