the looming end of the transbay terminal, SF

On one hand the place is a mess... but i just can't support wrecking a piece of history.
Even with the bums, i love the building. Just walking through it in the morning takes you back.

I ran across this story on the Web while looking for the bus that goes to Treasure Island. I don't live in SF, but I've been there and enjoy it.

While reading on the new terminal plans, I also noted the massive budget crisis going on in California. Is there any real chance of that whole rail plan ever coming to fruition, thus justifying the demolition of this building?
