Hey, Neophyte,

Why don't you do us old guys a favor and either use a different color or a larger font! :p

Your wish is my command TY. I will use BOTH a larger font and a lighter green color.

Rescued this one from the floor of a vintage women's clothing dealer.

Cross-posting this with the thrift store thread.

Found this at a thrift store today for $2.00. Tag says its 7 1/4, but fits tighter than that. I wear a 7 1/8, but this one fits fine. Looks to have never been worn. Not an old one, but really nice ... especially at the price.

Finally received the Bluegrass Green Campdraft. I'm going to wait to post photos until I get a really good shot. Don't want to mass cross-post the same pics all over the lounge. (with a BG camp draft, I have met the requirements to post in the Akubra Campdraft, Akubra Overload, What Hat Are You Wearing Today, Post New Hats Here, and the Green Machine thread, so you know what I mean lol).

N B 4 Neo. lol Just got this bluegrass green Campdraft yesterday. I had to go up to 63 because they never got in any 62's, so it's a little looser than I'm used to, but once I sweat into it it should be perfect.

Anyone out there got some examples of a green western (I know you do Dinerman lol)?

All these green lids are making it hard to decide what color I'll be getting for my custom western. It's between some shade of green or some shade of white/cream/very light color.

Is that third one, the very olive one, a Borsalino? There's glare on the liner and I can't quite make it out. Looks amazing, though!

Harp Player Gene has posted a teal green No1 Stetson in several places. You should be able to dig it up if you're interested ... ;)

Yup- a borsalino. It had been rolled up in one of those little triangular hat boxes for quite some time when I bought it.

It looks great. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the wrinkly appearance in the crease is often indicative of a lighter weight, or thinner, felt, no?

Ok, just got this off ebay. Here are some preliminary photos. The Sovereign Stetson Twenty, with the Mode Edge. I was told it was "willow green". I would call it a moss green, and it is easily the most magnificent hat I have ever seen.

To see that particular style in that particular color is just amazing.

Congrats!

The brim is rather lopsided, and needs a bit of work, but the crown is VERY nicely shaped. Taper? HAH! This hat laughs in the face of taper...

There are a few minor moth nibbles, but only a couple that are just barely noticeable.
