Last night I was walking home from the station (and listening to the tail end of The News Quiz, so I wasn't paying too much attention) when I walked past a pair of teenagers and one made a comment...
I'm pretty sure he said "Top hat", but I'm really not sure if that was an attempt at a compliment (which seems unlikely since 'top' isn't used with that meaning a great deal these days), the same but sarcastically, or if he couldn't tell the difference between a fedora and a top hat.
