The difference between ...

Open Roads, Stratoliners and even Borsalinos and Marathons.
For the O R's and Stratoliners, the Stratoliners are alot thinner felt than the O R's.
I have read about the felt quality of the Borsa's so they may not need to be in this thread. And it was stated in another thread that the Marathons were the ''farmer'' hats. I take that to mean they were the inexpensive version of the O R, Strat and even the Borsa.
Anyway I hope some of you that know more than me will put in your 2 cents worth.

I've got both...

I wear both (2) Borso's and a Marathon. My Borso's are soft as kittens where the Marathon is thicker and stiffer. I've never found a nice Strat that fits my big head, but I'm not missing a thing!.... I love my Borso's muchly!

It's the first day of Autumn and today starts my wearing season. I'm wearing my Marathon starting today as a matter of fact!

Then crown height and brim width, trim or lack of it, ribbon width and bow style are consistent among the models? I've noticed variations in some of those things. Never thought about felt density or suppleness. What about color availabilty?
