Years ago, my dentist once already blabed herself, admitting, that the PTC is NOT medical necessary!
And today, because she knows well, how I am thinking about it, she talks about again, but then even says explicit, that "IT IS JUST AN AESTHETIC THING".
"IT'S NOT ESSENTIAL."!
So (without PTC), "there will be NO Caries with these normal basic plaques, too".
