One of the first, and longest-published, womens magazines was the Delineator, which was invented as a monthly catalog for the Butterick pattern company as a vehicle to show the fashions.
It started in the late 1880s, and ended in 1937 when it merged with Pictorial Review.
I have the entire decade of 1927 through 1936, they are the thing I will grab if the house catches on fire!
