The deeper meaning of the Fedora

Hello all,

Having more training in psychology than is probably wise to have, I look for the "meaning" of things. What is the deeper meaning of the Fedora?

Is the wide brim 30's Fedora an externaization of internal anger coming out in gangster mode?

Is the 40's Fedora's a search for the focus and solidity of the WWII male?

Is the 50's Fedora's an attempt to capture that "rat-pack cool"?

Is the search for the perfect Fedora just a search for our own idenity?

I have to get off the computer now. The nurse is coming to had out our afternoon medication...

For me it's simply having an attractive hat in the best quality available. Wouldn't touch a wool hat with a barge pole, even if it looked great.
Also stops me getting cancer, and keeps my head dry and warm when needed.
