Hey everyone....
Found a recent acquisition at a local Thrift store. No label so I'm not sure of the size or materials, but it fits my 7 3/4 a bit snuggly. I assume it's a wool/polyester blend and has a silk lining. Here are some pics. Only a few bucks, so I couldn't resist
:)
A few bucks? Nice snag!

Bob, that cap you pictured is flipp'in nice! I particularly like that fabric.

All I have now are a few (relatively) inexpensive newsboys. Ivy's, duck-bills, etc. don't do it for me, though I know some folks that they look great on.

Just happened to be wearing this Uncle Ruby's today. A bit of angle is everything with these lids.

It's a reproduction by Robert Lubstein (EREL) from Germany. The edelweiss is from a modern Bundeswehr bergmuetze.
Like your avatar. Edward Hopper was the man. Love his work.

There's fella on my commuter bus that wears a Bergmuetze (didn't know the specific name). He's the curator for WWII British uniforms at the Air and Space Museum. I haven't asked him why he would choose to wear a German hat. It's quite distinctive.

Hopper was one of my fathers favorites as well.

Where on the Eastern Shore are you? My grandparents lived in Preston, and later moved to Denton, and my Uncle still lives in Easton.

You've got me bracketed. Spent my single digit years in Federalsburg, then moved to Easton. Worked in Preston for a couple of years while in Highschool. Spent 30+ years in and around Philly/NJ. Got divorced and moved back to Easton. Truly (for me) it is "The Land of Pleasant Living." Plenty of salt water all-around.

Howdy!

Got an update from Village Hats that my ivy caps should be delivered Thursday. Looking forward to it! Will post pics when they arrive. By the way, for those of you that wear ivy caps, does anyone wear leather versus wool during the cooler months? Though if I buy a leather one, it'll have to wait until later in the year, since I just bought my first two caps. Does anyone ever wear a leather cap during the summer, or are they too hot?

Here are the Jaxon ivy caps I received today from Village Hats. One wool and one bamboo. Both black. I may order an off-white bamboo one at the beginning of the summer, but we will see.

Now that I am looking at the pictures, it's hard to tell which is which. [emoji3]
