The Blauvelt Knitting Company was incorporated in 1905. (source), but were founded earlier. Their factory was originally located at 120 (or 148-150) Central Ave., Newark, NJ. It was later located at 8-14 Campbell Street, Newark, NJ, and later 281 Plane Street, Newark. They opened an office in New York City in 1909 in the Everett Building. (source). Their sweaters were endorsed by baseball great Christy Mathewson. In addition to sweaters and knit goods, Blauvelt made mackinaw coats.
Their sales agent was Edward G. Saxon. Blauvelt oreman Sol Meyers left for Seattle Washington's Saxony Knitting Goods before founding the Olympia Knitting Mills in 1909. (source)
