Little did the show creators know that years from then, once everyone had a pause button, they could freeze the frame and read that little joke.

a prop letter examined 50 years later

A few years ago, the StarTrekEnterprise producers were mortified to find out that viewers could actually read th Hi-Def content of computerscreens shown briefly an the episode.

It's like the background diners in a scene, or even the characters in a silent movie: the director should always give them a script because I at least can tell when the extras or actors are saying things like oh lets pretend we're talking, this is so lame, ya wanna hear a dirty joke and blah blah blah. Anyway, in every movie I've been in actually saying things the characters would say works and goofing around doesn't. I've even read a letter on camera and it was a real letter. But I'm not famous, then, am I?
