I received this in the mail at noon. A Lee Water-Bloc 10 It was listed as a 7 3/4 & I took a gamble thinking there was a strong possibility that it might simply measure 7 3/4 inches (I have bought two of these recently)

In fact it was a 7 3/8 (my size) & it was far better than it looks here in the auction photo, virtually flawless, a few small & shallow nibbles near the band, but other than that... It is a 40s era wide brimmed, high crowned beauty that fits like it was made for me... It is sporting a 6" crown, the brim (w/ the slimest & subtlest of Cavanaugh edges ) is a dimensional 2 7/8" in front & back & 2 3/4" on the sides. A lovely oatmeal/buff body with a medium brown contrasting 2" band. It fell right into a nice C-crown right out of the box. A buttery soft felt, it still has its original $10 price tag from the Springfield IL retailer who sold it.

As if all this weren't enough to put a big stupid grin on my mug, here is a link to the auction: LEE SIZE 7 3/4 TAN FELTED WESTERN DRESS HAT

I'm gonna have to go out & buy a lotto ticket & look for a four leaf clover too!

Spectacular! The color of the hat, combined with the color of the ribbon, is a knock-out!!! A Cavanaugh edge, combined with a subtle dimensional brim -- man, what a great score! Congrats, Rick. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Cheers,
Jimmy
