I think it looks great too. The "problem" is most likely lower-rise, modern jeans....

I agree with this, and with Baron's input on your length issue.

I actually have the opposite problem - I felt my HWM was too LONG - I got 2" added. I have considered getting Aero to shorten it when I send it back to them for a refurbishment some time in the future, but I'm not sure how they could do this given the position of the pockets....

Here it is when I just got it, about 4/5 years ago.

The fit is really excellent at the back, I believe. This is how I would get a half belt made.

BTW is that Aero's brown heavy FQHH? Not the "vintage" brown leather?

A pair of mid- to high-rise khaki cotton pants or corduroys would do well here, or maybe looser fitting jeans in a more "vintage" cut....
