A very good friend of mine, lets call him Santa, presented me with a gift this holiday season. Like most gifts that I have received in my life, I feel blessed to have been on the receiving end of such kindness. I believe in the old saying, that it is better to give than receive, but receiving is pretty nice as well. I am afraid I do not show my gratitude as well as I should, mostly because I am so taken back by these occurrences. Not that I am not gracious mind you, I just am not as good at accepting as I am giving. My darling wife has been on me for years to more readily accept the kindness of others. She explains that refusing a kindness/gift is not allowing the giver to experience the same joy that I get when giving to others. Before I get too verbose, I will let the photos speak for themselves. I am truly blessed to have friends like Santa.

That hat has beautiful lines, Bud, and I love to see man confident in a black hat! Santa was nice to you this year, and thanks to you for sharing it.

Hmmm....

... I must have been naughty somewhere along the line. All Santa brought me was socks and aftershavelol lol .... your hat looks great Bud:eusa_clap . What kind is it? It seems to have a fairly tall crown for a new hat.

BTW Its not hardly that bad at my house the Mrs. did get me a couple of Jimmy Stewart Dvds and she didn't put up much of a fight when I ordered my last hat from Art, it was an early Christmas gift.:D

Regards,
J.S.

I guess you would call this a Texas Borsalino. The brim is 3 3/4 and the C-crown is 4 1/2 in th front, 3 3/4 in the back. Quite a hat, but I am not much on a stingy anyway.

Nice looking hat. Santa visited in a way when my wife saw me looking at pictures and said to order another. I have an Adventurebilt on order, should have been here, but there is something going on to confuse the order, It's been 14 months and I want to see how it looks and feels before ordering something else. Also heard that Art had some big time problems at his place after that last pacific storm, so will hold off for a little while.
