I think I ought to share this with my fellow loungers.
I just placed an order for a 1960s vintage tailcoat (in my size nonetheless!)
I had previously gone through two modern tailcoats supplied by eBay's thetuxxman. The first one's tails were too short (they ended just above my knees), had no buttons on the cuffs and had a gaudy golden patter in the weave. I sent it back, received a replacement that was still too short, with some bastardisation of a notched collar (looks as if the upper part of the lapel was just left off), only two buttons, and still no cuff buttons.
Luckily I found this tailcoat on like the 30th page of Google searching. Although it is almost twice as expensive as the previous ones, it's inherent quality is just so much greater that I'll eventually get over the financial loss (student, by the way). The tails are a full 4 inches longer than the ones I previous had, and the lapels are peaked and faced in satin.
I wish international shipping wouldn't take so long
P.S. It was £116 in total with shipping.
