The Opera House is such an Icon & looks so good on the harbor foreshore; it seems so improbable that people didn't like the idea of it!

While serving in Viet Nam I took a R&R in Australia. The Opera House was under construction at the time. I slipped into the building to look around and was immediately stopped by the guards. After talking to them a bit they gave be a guided tour of the whole building ( just a shell at that time) It was amazing even as a job site. the building AND the hospitality left a lasting impression on me.
