A new Chinese copy of the freewheelers switchyard leather jacket.
Tagged as 40 but more like a 38 across the chest, I am a 40 but a bit tight across the chest for me.
Too small for me so selling on, this is a very good quality jacket for the price.
Mid-weight steer hide and cotton lining.
Payment by PayPal in Australian dollars AUD 224 which is
170.00 USD = 224.76 AUD at todays mastecard rate
Shipping by whichever method you want at your cost.

Allow for small errors in the measurements, photos with tape so draw your own conclusions.
shoulders 18"
chest 21"
length 27"
sleeves 25"

My sister regularly goes to China and she buys me jackets in markets and shops so I don't know where she got it, it might be on aliexpress but it will be dearer than the prices in mainland China.
I've had a lot of jackets from China and the label to look out for is carphey or curphey? the label looks rubbish but the jackets aren't.
Really good quality at the price and thats coming from someone who has had aeros, Eastman, buzz ricksons, schott, vanson and too many vintage jackets to remember in 39 years of jacket buying.
Just the same as in the US there are crap jackets and good jackets in China, I have never delved into the dearer makes and there some pricey ones.

There are a few shops on Taoabao selling these. I believe they don't make them in this color anymore. They change pattern and design from time to time and mass produce them in factories.
There are also other copies sold under different brand names and with different materials. I see them on Taobao but I have never bought any leather jackets from these factories.

Yes, that make them for a season and then sell off what's left cheap, many of the Chinese jackets jackets are sold in Japan but at much greater prices.
Using taobao can be problematic, you can use taoabao shipping but if the seller sends the wrong item, size, or there are defects etc, it only covers the return shipping cost from the Chinese warehouse back to the seller and you have to pay to send it back yourself, the shipping is buy courier and very fast but snd was very cheap covid has made the shipping price go through the roof as freight space on planes is now at a premium due to the lack of overseas flights.
Taoabao for an english speaker is no picnic and if anything goes wrong trying to use goole translate to speak to Chinese speakers is vey difficult half of the time they still have no idea what are trying to convey.
I used to buy a lot on taoaba and the items are so cheap that having one thing that did not fit was compensated for by the the low cost, the others things that you would buy at the same time made up for it, you can buy from different sellers and tabao combines the parcels at their warehouse to send to you overseas.
The expensive shipping has now ruined that I would now recommend aliexpress though dearer until freight pricing goes down.

Fonzie, you know who to contact if it’s a little tight. :)

I‘m glad to read that Fonzie was faster as it would be a perfect fit for me. Congrats @Fonzie
Cheers guys, I’ll put it back in here if it doesn’t fit in case you guys are interested, it does look pretty nice and this style was missing in my collection.
